How To Find The RomeHello Location


Location of The RomeHello

Located within the central station district, you’ll soon come to realise that The RomeHello is one of the best located hostels in the city of Rome!

For those who want to see the sights, you’ll find the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and the Spanish Steps all within a 20 minute walking radius. But not only are we centrally located for those of you who want to experience the true beauty of Roman architecture on your hostel doorstep.

We are also just a ten minute walk from Termini station: the main train and bus depot for Rome. Our location means you won’t get lost easily, or have to walk miles to your accommodation if you arrive after dark.

For those who would rather get public transport around the city than walk, we have you sorted too! The RomeHello is a one minute walk from Via Nazionale, one of the most important streets in the city. From Via Nazionale you’ll be able to catch buses across the city, as well as take the metro from the Repubblica metro station. Which means that, by metro, you can be at the front steps of St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican city within 20 minutes!

Directions to The RomeHello

Walking Directions From Termini Train Station

Exit the train station from the front entrance (with the train platforms at your back). Walk straight ahead, taking Via Giolitta in the direction of Piazza della Repubblica. Once at the Piazza, turn left onto Via Nazionale. The you need to take the first street on the right: Via Torino. You'll find us near the end of the Via Torino, at number 45 with a big sign outside that reads 'The RomeHello'!

Metro Directions From Termini Train Station

The walk from Termini Station to The RomeHello is only ten minutes. However, if you're tired of travelling, you can cut out half of the journey by taking the metro.

To get the metro at Termini train station, just look for the big red 'M' signs throughout the stations. Follow the signs for Metro Line A in the direction of Battistini. You need to get a ticket from the machines before trying to get onto the metro platform, and a single ticket costs €1.50. Once on the Line A Metro in the direction of Battistini, take one stop to Repubblica. From there, head straight down Via Nazionale and take the first street on your right: Via Torino. You'll find us near the end of the Via Torino, at number 45 with a big sign outside that reads 'The RomeHello'!

Train Directions From Fiumicino Airport

Exit arrivals, turn right, and follow the directions to the train station. Once there, you need to buy a ticket for Roma Termini which costs €14. Scan the ticket to get past the barriers, and then you also need to validate the ticket in the yellow boxes at the start of the platform. The trains run every 15-20 minutes during the day, and you won’t save any money by booking them online. However you can check the train times and find the timetable on the TrenItalia website.

Shuttle Bus Directions From Fiumicino Airport

Exit the arrivals building, turn right and keep walking until you see the coaches and the ticket booths for the bus transfers to Termini Coach Station. You can buy a ticket at the booths for around €6, and there is a board that lists the times of the buses. You can also check the timetables and book online at any one of the shuttle bus websites including Terravision, TAM Bus, or SITBus.

Shuttle Bus Directions From Ciampino Airport

To get to The RomeHello from Ciampino Airport you will need to take a shuttle bus, as there is no train station at Ciampino airport.

Once you exit the arrival building, head towards the coaches at the opposite end of the entrance slip road. There will be coaches waiting or arriving to take people to Termini Train Station. Make sure to ask for Termini as some of the coaches go elsewhere. During the day, the buses will be leaving every 20-20 minutes, they cost around €6, and you have to pay in cash to a staff member who will be waiting at the bus stop. You can also check the timetables and book online at any one of the shuttle bus websites including Terravision, TAM Bus, or SITBus.
